Gebesa adds Flora, Velia and Celio: a seating update for project teams
Gebesa’s October seating announcement adds three names to the task-chair conversation. Here is what the manufacturer has published and what to confirm before specifying.
The October announcement
Gebesa’s dealer portal lists an October 1, 2026 announcement introducing Flora, Velia and Celio, with an upload date of October 5. Its current U.S. seating directory also lists all three under task chairs. This is a review of that October announcement, checked October 31, rather than a launch occurring today.
The manufacturer describes the introductions as Italian-designed seating and highlights mesh or upholstered backs and Vibe or Lynx mechanisms across the offering. Those collection-level descriptions are a starting point: the selected model and configuration determine which features belong in a project specification.
Compare a defined configuration
For dealers and designers, our suggested first step is to create one comparison record for each shortlisted chair. Identify the exact model, mechanism, back material, arm option, base and casters being considered. Ask the manufacturer to resolve any item that is unclear in the initial presentation before the client approves it.
For a commercial end user, a useful brief describes the intended activity, workstation conditions and user needs. Give that brief to the dealer alongside the preferred visual direction. The project team can then discuss whether the proposed configuration addresses those requirements, rather than assuming that every chair in a new collection serves the same purpose. These are Edgewater’s suggested planning steps, not claims that the three products share identical adjustments.
Resolve the order details alongside the design
Request the current specification sheet, applicable warranty terms and any testing documentation required by the project. Match that material to the model being quoted. Ask for current pricing and the delivery assumptions for the selected configuration, including transit and installation responsibilities, before attaching an installation date to the selection.
Keep the approved model and options together in the purchasing record. If a finish, mechanism or other component changes during quoting, ask the responsible team members to review that change before order release.
